The client wanted to have the existing gravelled area rejuvenated and laid to patio to create a usable entertaining space.
The brief of this job was to implement a plan that was drawn up by an independant garden designer. It included the construction of a new timber edged and shinge walkway with additional flower beds. The intricate and percise angles balance and draw focus to the central area of the garden. The overall design was finished with rustic trellis panels and fruit trees.
The brief included the excavation of the rear garden leaving the perimeter boarders. The laying of a concrete base onto which a patio of natural riven cut stone set in a random pattern, including a double step from the rear patio doors and BBQ. The whole area was enclosed with edging stones and to the front of the shed a scalping base which was compacted until solid and capped with lake blue slate.
Area to the rear of the property was prone to flooding it was excavated and a 4-5ins scalping base was laid and capped with 20mm gravel with a brick edge along the perimeter of the grass.
The area to the side of the property was an awkward shaped space that was not being utilised, however it got a lot of afternoon sunshine and the clients requested it to be paved the boundary fence was also replaced and decorative trellis panels installed as a screen.
